Gannets Galore!

This year we have charted our own boat, the Yorkshire Lass II, skippered by Paul Chapman, to run Seabird Photography Boat Trips to capture the amazing seabird colonies of Flamborough Head and Bempton Cliffs from sea level. 

We had an idea about trying to attract diving Gannets around the boat, which would be a wildlife spectacle in its own right and an unbelievable photographic opportunity to capture these birds diving in to the sea. 

We had a fantastic demand from people wanting to be part of these experimental trips, with 52 clients booking on the first five. It took a few trips before we started to get regular diving Gannets in small numbers, but once they started to recognise the boat we suddenly had a feeding frenzy of thousands diving around it - which you can see for yourselves in the video clip below.
