Come and join us at the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust Potteric Carr Nature Reserve with Yorkshire Coast Nature's award-winning wildlife photographer Steve Race. Have a go at photographing landscapes, flowers, insects, birds and other wildlife.

Key Bird Species: - Grey Heron, Little Egret, Bittern, Water Rail, Kingfisher, Marsh Tit, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Green Woodpecker, Gadwall, Shoveler, Pintail, Little Grebe, Great Crested Grebe, Marsh Harrier, Hobby, Mute Swan, Coot, Moorhen.

The workshop will be tailored towards beginners and intermediate enthusiasts, and will start with a look at the techniques and equipment needed, with advice and tips on how to get that perfect wildlife image. You will learn about correct exposure, how to deal with changing lighting conditions, angles, composition and depth of field techniques. Potteric Carr Nature Reserve is full of wildlife photography opportunities, and consists of grassland, wetlands and mature woodland habitats which attract butterflies, dragonflies, marsh plants, wild flowers and incredible birdlife.
