Our tours starts at Keoladeo National Park on the edge of Bharatpur which is one of the most important wetlands in the world for birds. We will then travel to Ranthambore National Park one of the top tiger sites in the world. This is going to be a great wildlife combo!
Keoladeo National Park in Bharatpur is one of the best places in the world to get close to a fantastic array of wetland species. A birders and photographers dream if you love water birds and raptors. Late winter is a great time for birds such as Painted Stork, Asian Open-billed Stork, Sarus Crane, Black Bittern, Cinamon Bittern and many more. Birds of prey include; Indian Spotted Eagle, Greater Spotted Eagle, Bonelli’s Eagle and Booted Eagles. On our March 2017 trip we were treat to great views of a nesting pair of huge Dusky eagle Owls!
Staying in Bharatpur provides a great opportunity to explore a diverse range of places such as Chambal River. Here birds such as River Tern and Indian Skimmer mingle with Gharial, a fantastic fish-eating crocodile and Gangetic Dolphin.
The world famous Ranthambore National Park is a wonderful destination for wildlife. Tigers will be one of our priority species using local expert guides to seek out the best views and photography possible.

Richard Baines PGdip MCIEEM
Richard’s love of birds and wildlife started at age nine when he watched wide eyed as a charm of European Goldfinch fed on a thistle within a few feet of him in the grounds of his primary school. The next day he was busy drawing the flock in his art class./tutors/2/richard-baines-pgdip-mcieem
