At Spurn, you're literally surrounded by productive habitats, teaming with birds – from tiny Goldcrests and Yellow-browed Warblers to breathtaking, vocal flocks of Whooper Swans and arctic geese; from squadrons of Scandinavian Redwings, Fieldfares and Bramblings to Long-eared and Short-eared Owls arriving in off the North Sea; to Merlins, Peregrines and harriers patrolling the area for lunch; and in spring, there's nowhere like Spurn for continental 'overshoots', including Bee-eaters, Golden Orioles and even rare swifts....

… not forgetting the incredible spectacles of wading birds right by us on the Humber Estuary – hundreds of thousands of shorebirds such as Knot, Bar-tailed Godwit, Curlew and Grey Plover (to name a few).
