Yorkshire Wolds And Coast Wildlife Safari

  • Yorkshire Wolds and coast

This exciting 3-day tour is based at Highfield Farm in the Yorkshire Wolds and will concentrate on achieving close-up views of its speciality wildlife. Red Kites and Kingfishers haunt the hills and wetlands close to the farm. The hidden valleys of the Wolds are home to nesting Curlews, Barn Owls and stunning songbirds such as Redstarts. Otters and Water Voles lurk along the beautiful chalk streams of the River Hull headwaters.

A short trip away on the coast are the world-famous seabird colonies of Flamborough Headland, home to one of the UK's most incredible natural spectacles. Over 200,000 seabirds nest on the high cliffs. Puffins, Gannets, Fulmars, Razorbills and Guillemots clamour for space, creating an unforgettable natural wonder.

YCN expert local guides will work hard to ensure memorable experiences. We will ensure you have an opportunity to learn a great deal on the tour from identification tips to field craft advice. If you are interested in nature photography, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn new skills or improve your technique from our experienced and enthusiastic photographers.

No two tours will be the same. With changes of location and season, new and unexpected nature encounters happen on every tour.
