2024 Cuckoo And Kingfisher Photography Experience
- North and West Yorkshire
- from £250.00 (see pricing table below)
Join YCN Wildlife Photographer Steve Race on a workshop with a difference capturing incredible images of two spectacular bird species the Cuckoo and Kingfisher.
In the first session of the day we will be gettting up close and personal with a very special spring visitor the Cuckoo. Arriving in the UK in early May they lay their single egg in a hosts nest such as the Reed Warbler, Sedge Warbler and Reed Bunting. This very shy species is on the RSPB red list and we will only spend a few hours with this species.
The second session will be spent photographing our iconic UK species the Kingfisher. Normally heard and then seen as a blue flash along a river the kingfisher session gets you up close and personal with this beautiful bird.
This photography day is run in partnership with the owner of hides situated in the Lower Derwent Valley, North Yorkshire and on private land next to a small lake near Leeds, West Yorkshire. This small group workshop will be tailored towards beginners, enthusiasts and wildlife photographers who are keen to learn about and practice some of the essential skills of wildlife photography.
Maximum group size: 3 photographers per workshop
Time: 5.00am to 12.30pm
Price: £250.00 per person
I can also offer 1 to 1, 2 to 1 or 3 to 1 workshops on a bespoke basis. Please contact us via email or call the YCN office on 01723 865498 for more details.
