Birding Discovery Day - Wetland And Woodland - Tophill Low Nature Reserve
With rich and varied habitats full of waterbirds courting, songbirds singing and migrants pitstopping, what better way to shake off the winter blues than with a special day exploring this always productive reserve. Mixed woodland, marshland, reservoirs, lakes, reedbeds, scrubland, grassland and more - all within easily walkable distance - mean you're guaranteed a wide spectrum of birdlife.
Let our expert local guide Mark Pearson introduce to this hidden jewel of Yorkshire's birding hotspots, just as the spring season bursts into life! Expect wildfowl, waders, raptors and songbirds, as well as a good chance of Kingfishers, a chance of Otters, and few surprises thrown in....
These exclusive one-day tours are designed for everyone - from beginners to the more experienced – who'd like be part of small group tour, creating a real 'team' adventure. Meeting Place map and directions sent after a booking is made. Please be aware this day may involve walking several miles during the day with many stops and breaks.
