Wildlife Sightings - May 2015

After a relatively mild April, May 2015 will be remembered for the unseasonably cool conditions. A north-westerly airflow over the UK dominated the first half of the month. The Met Office recorded May as the coldest since 1996. Temperatures in Leeds only reached 16-18° on two dates.

Botany Day At Ashberry

We spent the morning exploring the reserve’s wet pasture, riverside and mire in the morning and were thrilled to come across uncommon species such as Bird’s-eye Primrose and Globeflower!
